ROYAL PALACE MADRID
One of my favourite places for post wedding photos
is The Royal Palace of Madrid
as it makes a stunning backdrop for pictures.
PROS
Sophisticated setting for a timeless romance
The Palace's grand architecture, paired with the nearby Almudena Cathedral, provides a sophisticated and elegant setting for a love story.
Rich and varied location
Just next to it is Plaza de Oriente, as well as Royal Gardens of Sabatinni with some beautiful spots for wedding pictures, with its pathways adorned with magnolias, fountains, and statues of Spanish kings and heroes.
CONS
As every European Capital major touristic attraction the place gets really crowded for the most part of the day and night.
My tip
Start the photo session really early in order to avoid the crowds. From around 9 a.m. the groups start joining for visits, so we should aim for an earlier start.
The location is totally worth the early start, as then you´ll have your romance captured in one of the most iconic locations in Europe.
